Electric Transport Museum to be Founded in Perm

In 2014 the Perm Tram is celebrating its 85th anniversary. A number of events will be held in Perm in honor of the anniversary and the museum of Perm electric transport will be opened. Residents can make their contribution to its creation.

The KTM-1 model tram, which ran in the city in the 1950s, has become the first exhibit of the future museum. It had no heating system, the seats were wooden and tramload was only 73 persons. No more than 10 trams of the KTM-1 model have remained in Russia. All the museum visitors will have an opportunity to get in the tram and feel as passenger of the mid 20th century.

The museum is planned to be opened by the end of the year.

Presently exhibits for the museum are being collected. The museum will be happy to receive photos, professional accessories and tools related to the history of Perm tram and trolleybus.
