Muscovy ducks and Chinese geese will be accommodated in Kuzminki. The Management of Protected Natural Areas of South-Western Administrative District of Moscow summed up the results of creative contest "Choose your pet!" The number of animals inhabiting the enclosures in Kuzminki-Lyublino Park will increase as soon as next spring. These new tenants were selected by many park visitors.
Park's biodiversity experts considered the candidacies for accommodation and have already purchased proper bird species: a pair of eagle owls, 4 chicken breeds, Muscovy ducks, fancy pigeons, 2 pheasant breeds and even Chinese geese. Winners and contestants were awarded on December 5, on International Volunteer Day. Anyone, who mailed to Management's office a story about the animal that author would like to see in park's aviaries, could enter the contest, which lasted all November. Now, the pets’ corner is already occupied by goats, sheep, squirrels and turkeys, as the park press service reports.
