As it was stated in the Russian Consulate General in Dubai, false information on the rules of entry into the UAE was spread. “We strongly recommend that the Russians traveling to the UAE should refrain from traveling without a visa. No confirmations from tour companies cannot serve as a basis for entry into the country” - the representative of the Consulate General said. According to him, the announcements of travel agencies concerning visas that can be issued at the Sharjah airport are untrue.

      “Dozens of Russians sometimes spend several days in transit zones of the UAE airport waiting for visas” - the diplomat noted.

      Several Russian tourists were forced to spend a few hours in the Sharjah airport on Tuesday and Wednesday, because they had no UAE visas. At the moment all of them have received travel documents.
