28.12.2005 11:53

Biblical festival of ice sculpture opens today in the city of Surgut (Yugra). 16 subjects from the Holy Scriptures have been incarnated in ice figures. The composition has been made by the creative team Poerika from Moscow. It took the sculptors a month and over 90 tons of ice to create the figures.
Excursion programs and spiritual chanting are included in the festival program. The festival guests will have an opportunity to visit a Christmas exhibition of decorative and applied arts, watch Christmas theatricals and learn ice carving.
