Russia is expected to produce 321 helicopters this year, almost a double increase over 2012.
In seven years, Moscow hopes to control 20 percent of the world’s market, looking to export such models as Mi-38, an upgrade of the legendary Mi-8 workhorse and Mi-28 (Night Hunter), including its training version.
The government will allocate $1 billion to support the industry.
