The administration of the world-famous museum of Louvre has decided to expand its collection with a number of masterpieces of Russian art – previously the museum only had a collection of Old Russian icons.

Now the collection is to include some of the most famous Russian paintings of various epochs. It is yet unknown what pictures will be exhibited in Paris. The works of art will be delivered by rail and by air. Enforcement of the agreement may let millions of tourists from all over the world learn about Russian art, since the Louvre is one of the largest and most visited museums in the world.
