In 2014 the Russian authorities intend to refresh knowledge of fellow citizens of participation of Russia in World War I.

It has been planned to bring in order burials of soldiers of the Russian army in the territory of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Serbia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Greece and Germany. An online archive of documentary photographs and soldiers’ letters and memories of military operations will be created on the Internet. A monument of World Suffering may be set up in Moscow in memory of the victims on the hospital vessel Portugal, which was knocked down by a German submarine in 1916.

Besides, authorities consider the possibility of founding a uniform museum and archive of World War I.
