The Pro-rector for Research of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), a philologist and literary critic Dmitry Bak will become the director of the State Museum of Literature. Bak is a Candidate of Philological Sciences, a professor and the Chairman of the Department of History of Russian Literature of Modern Times of the History and Philology Faculty of the Institute of Philology and History of RSUH. The future director of the State Museum of Literature is a specialist in the history of Russian classical literature and literary criticism, modern Russian poetry and prose, history of national education; he also studies the artistic legacy of the poet Arseniy Tarkovsky.
The changes in personnel are connected, in particular, with the new concept of the Museum development. The Museum will serve a basis for creating the platform for the unification of modern writers and readers - for example, the presentations of new books will be held here, not in the large bookstores.
