The International Film Festival and the demonstration of the unique archival materials in Poland were organized to celebrate the anniversary of Vladimir Vysotsky. On the eve of the 75th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian poet, singer and actor the XI International Documentary Film Festival dedicated to his creative work was held in the city of Koszalin in the north-west of the country. The local museum of Vysotsky prepared a series of screenings, exhibitions and concerts, speeches of directors, writers, actors and scientists who gathered for the festival from all over the world - from 42 countries. The organizers of one of the most versatile festivals commemorating the Russian musician and actor paid great attention to the demonstration of the unique materials that were previously completely unknown or available only to a narrow circle of admirers of Vysotsky`s works. Such archival discoveries in Koszalin were the recordings of a private Japanese TV channel that recorded the rehearsal of "The Cherry Orchard", a documentary about Anton Chekhov, at the Taganka Theatre with Vysotsky in 1975.
