The director Alexei Fedorchenko will make a film based on the novel by the Strugatsky brothers "The Kid". The picture will be called "Space Mowgli", it will be made by the film company "February 29," and the screenwriter of the film will be Mikhail Maslennikov.

The novel "The Kid" was published in 1971. It tells the story about the attempts of the migration of pantians to the Ark planet which was considered uninhabitable. The researchers who studied the Ark, found an earthly child that survived on its surface after the crash of a spaceship and was educated by the inhabitants of the planet, in the end the migration of the pantians to the Ark failed.
