Hermitage Digitized All Its Accounting Records

As the press service of the Hermitage reports, all its inventory books, books, receipts, statements of permanent storage (total 871,576 sheets) were digitized. This allows to view all necessary documents without going into the actual books.


      

In addition, in 2012 there were made photos of 355,000 images of graphics, decorative and applied art items, archaeological and numismatic monuments. Every object was digitized on the average at 2-4 angles, thus the total number of the digital images created in the year 2012 amounted to 780,000.
