The artistic director of the Mariinsky Theatre Valery Gergiev in cooperation with the director of the film "Avatar" James Cameron are working on the 3D-broadcast of the ballet "Swan Lake". According to his words, the broadcast of the Mariinsky Theatre Ballet will be held on February 14 in theaters worldwide. "They (Cameron and his colleagues) have an incredible experience, skill and talent. No team in the world knows better how to work with 3D in the opera house where there is no possibility to stop the action as far as the music started. The cinemas will bring thousands of people together ", - says Gergiev.

“Swan Lake" will be not the first broadcast in 3D for the Mariinsky Theatre. In 2011 they already presented "Giselle", and in 2012 the theater showed "The Nutcracker" in 3D.
