For the second day they were listening to the court case brought by Petersburg citizens against Madonna for various ethical offences during her concert there in August 2012.

      Madonna's visit to Russia was marked by scandal and political epatage. She supported Pussy Riot girls, for what one of the vice PMs of Russia called her "ex-tart" on Twitter, and on the day of her Petersburg concert the religious activists sprinkled the place of her previous performance with holy water. Following the concert several activitsts filed complaints and eventually brought a suit for RUB 333,000,000 against Madonna for propaganda of homosexuality and ethical misconduct. 

      However, the initial hearing was postponed because the suit did not contain necessary official information, e.g. Madonna's official address. Since then, however, the suitors discovered all data and brought their case forward again. 

      Madonna or her representatives, as well as the representatives of the sport complex where she gave a concert were not present at the hearings. Only promoters of her Russian tour appeared in court.
