A Moscow priest and rector of several churches, Father Superior Sergius, published a special instruction on what to do in case of a hooligan attack on a church.

      "Due to the instances of attacks on churches and desecration of Orthodox relics becoming more frequent, I ask you to pay attention to suspicious visitors. Upon noticing their intent to roister, to steal icons and the holy remains, but especially to sneak to the ambo and altar, do not hesitate to react instantaneously", reads the announcement at the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit at the former Lazarevskoe Cemetery in Maryina Roscha in Moscow.

      Father Superior advises the witnesses to loudly call for help, appeal to the guards and even to try and stop the hooligans: "I bless you to use the physical force", says the priest's address.

      The church is currently guarded by the Cossaks, and CCTV cameras are working.
