Ruins of the 16th century Epiphany Church in the Finsky Park in Pskov have been turned into a dump: the monument now looks like a vaulted cave.
The floor of the monument of a church is strewed with all sorts of garbage: plastic bottles, packages, and paper…
The Epiphany Church is a cultural heritage site of federal value. Several years ago ruins of this church were almost entirely buried under the ground.
This church constructed in the 16th century on the place of an older one (1444), was covered with ground in the course of fortification works in 1701. At the request of Yamsky, in whose premises Peter I lived at that time, the southern side-altar of the church was left intact, but in the 18th century it collapsed.
