Documentary film Citizen Poet. Run of the Year about the sensational poetic project by Dmitrii Bykov, Mikhail Yefremov, and Andrey Vasiliev and the start of protest movement in Russia has been released in Russia.
      
      The author of the documentary is Vera Krichevskaya.
      According to the creators of the film, it is “a reflection about the causes of prompt awakening of the civic stand of millions of people in Russia”.
      
      The project Citizen Poet featured the popular actor Mikhail Yefremov impersonating renowned Russian and foreign poets - from Pushkin and Krylov to Shakespeare and Kipling – and reciting Dmitrii Bykov’s poems on target of the day. The participants of Citizen Poet characterized its genre as “newsical”, where elements of news and musical are combined. The project was finished on March 5 this year.
