The Second International Forum of Pushkin Schools held in Moscow from the 25th to 29th of September, gathered representatives from Russian cities: Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Nizhni Novgorod, Petrozavodsk and Pskov as well as foreign guests: directors and teachers of schools with teaching subjects in the Russian language from 27 near and far abroad countries.
The major goals of the forum include developing liberal arts collaboration, educational support of compatriots living abroad and facilitating studies of the Russian language and culture in this country and abroad.
Plenary sessions, round tables and excursions have been held for five days in the framework of the forum. On September 27 the forum participants visited St.-Petersburg for the round table ‘Pushkin tradition in world spiritual culture’ and on September 28 the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language hosted the educational seminar titled ‘A.Pushkin’s language today as living heritage and cultural reality. New technologies of teaching the Russian language’.
