Second World Festival of Circus Art in Moscow
28.09.2005 15:49

September 28 will see the opening of the Second World Festival of Circus Art on the Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow. It will be marked with a colorful carnival in front of an enormous circus tent. Circus performers, dancers, stilts-walkers, bicycle motocross champions, bikers and clowns will amuse the public.
A huge circus tent has been constructed specially for the event. While a standard circus arena is 13 meters in diameter, the festival tent arena reaches 46 meters. The cupola of the new circus is not a common ellipsis but of a cone form, 22 meters high. The performers will go up to the height of 18 meters. The new circus tent is designed to admit two thousand people. The major festival events will be held in it.
