People traveling between Russian and Armenia shall now have their foreign passport handy on the border.
Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Office warned that to cross the Russian-Armenian border you have to show either the diplomatic, foreign or sailor’s passport.
The agreement to reduce the amount of documents for non-visa travels was reached on August 24.
The new regulations take effect from September 24. If the passport is lost or damaged, Russians could get back by displaying the entry permit issued in the Consular Office in Yerevan, Armenia.
