Fines for Driving Offences to be Delivered by Email

Moscow authorities suggested to compile a database of drivers' emails, to wirelessly deliver invoices for driving offences. According to the source, the Mayor and those involved in the decision believe that express delivery of fine payment notices will enhance the communication process between the traffic police and drivers. Needless to say, this will also modernise the document delivery, making it wireless.

The decision was offered in response to an official's complaint about high costs for traditional postal delivery. Another recommendation was made regarding the speed cameras for lines dedicated to buses: it was suggested to increase their number according to the needs. Unfortunately, while the speed cameras are expected to catch the real offenders, the fines are regularly delivered to the ambulance drivers who can legally take advantage of the dedicated line.
