Russian and foreign clubs of military-historical reconstruction will gather beside the fords of Tatin, the place of crossing of the army of Dmitry Donskoy. Guests and visitors will be able to participate in horse and historical fencing competitions, medieval all-round events, individual battles. There will be fairies and exhibition perfomances of aircraft modelists as well, historical kitchen and costume contests. 

      Within the bounds of the celebration one will enjoy concerts, theatre perfomances, festive processions and orchestral parades. Reconstruction of medieval battle, one of the most spectacular events, will be on the 17th of September from 9 a.m. to 16.00 p.m.

      The festival will be located in the settlement Monastirshina, which is at 300 kilometres' distance from Moscow. One can get there on one's own or join tour groupes. The price of the ticket for the battle is 500 rubles ( 16,50 dollars ).

      Battle of Kulikovo ( Mamai or Donskoy slaughter ) is a battle between the armies of Russian principalities and the armies of the Golden Horde, whic took place on the 8th of September in 1380 on Kulikovo Field beside the rivers Don, Nepryadva and Mecha. Nowadays these territories belong to the region of Tula.
