The French Intend to Build Metro in Moscow

The French company Vinci, one of the largest building groups in the world, has offered its services in building metro to the Moscow government, writes the newspaper Vedomosti.

The company has submitted an application to the Moscow government.

Vinci has a big experience in building metro in some French cities, such as Lion and Paris. It also builds metro stations in other world cities, for example in Cairo, Algiers and Budapest.

In the end of 2010 the Moscow mayor claimed it was necessary to hold an international tender to attract foreign companies for building the metro. The German Siemens and Korean Hyundai has already claimed about their intention to participate.

According to the Moscow mayor, about 70 km of new metro lines should be built in the capital by 2015.
