Festival Mamakabo-2011 to be Held on Moscow City Day

Leonid Agutin, "Neschastnyi Sluchai", "Uma2rman", "Billys band", Timur Vedernikov, Irina Bogushevskaya, "Jukebox Trio" and other musicians will perform at the International Musical Art Festival Mamakabo on September, 3rd and 4th.

It will be timed to the celebrations of the City Day and will be held on the stage of the Green Theatre at the Gorky Central Culture and Leisure Park in the center of festive Moscow.

The festival will include over 10 solo concerts of bands and performers that will start at 4 pm every day.

On Sunday, 4 September, the second day of Mamakabo-2011 festival will be opened with a carnival procession on the quay of the Moskva River. The show is prepared by members of the carnival music orchestra Maracutu. At 3 pm drummers and dancers will gather together all those willing to take part in the carnival on Pushkinskaya Embankment. Passers-by can join the procession at any time. A contest for the most amusing mamakabo costume will be held among all the carnival participants and the winner will be handed the prize at the festival stage.
