Domodedovo International Airport Maintains Leading Position in Terms of Passenger Traffic among Airports of Moscow Aviation Hub

January-August 2005 results indicate that Domodedovo International Airport maintains the leading position in terms of passenger traffic in the Moscow aviation hub.
      
      The airport’s overall turnover in the first eight months of 2005 reached 9.2 million passengers, a 12.1% increase over the same period of 2004.
      
      The highest growth in passenger numbers was recorded on routes to such destinations as Antalya, Tel Aviv, Tashkent, Sharm el Sheikh, Barcelona, Sochi, Dubai. Domodedovo Airport serviced more than two million passengers on the mentioned routes, an increase of 140% comparing with the results of January-August 2004.
      
      August’s passenger turnover amounted to 1.7 million passengers, an increase of 11% over August 2004.
      
      Additional information:
      
      passenger traffic on international routes in January-August 2005 reached 5.2 million passengers, a 21.4% increase over the same period of 2004;
      passenger traffic on domestic routes amounted to 4 million passenger, a 1,7% increase over the first eight months of 2004;
      passenger turnover on international routes (including to the CIS countries) in August 2005 reached one million passengers, a 18.1% increase over August last year;
      passenger turnover on domestic routes in August 2005 amounted to 700,000 passengers, a 2,4% increase over August 2004.
