Young Russian engineers have built a robotic car on the basis of “Gazel” automobile of Russian GAZ car manufacturer.

      Such robotic car is essential in locations or situations, when a human driver’s life or health can be at risk. An operator controls the car via electronic control system – he enters coordinates of a desired route into the system and follows the car on a monitor.

      “Gazel” car is not the only possible basis for building robotic vehicles. The car sticks to the predetermined route very accurately, since it uses domestic rival of the GPS system – GLONASS. Video cameras help avoid possible obstacles on the way.
