Barents Expedition Diaries Now in Russian
Willem Barentsz

Arctic Federal University, located in Arkhangelsk, presents diaries of a legendary expedition of Willem Barentsz, translated from Dutch to Russian, to the public.
Diaries tell readers about moral courage of brave Dutchmen, who had tried to discover the Northern Sea Route to East in the end of 16th century, and their adventures on Novaya Zemlya.
Diaries of the Barentsz expedition had been written by Gerrit de Veer, a Dutch participant of the third voyage of Willem Barentsz, and were translated to many languages.
