Russian and Finnish Railways increase ticket prices for high-speed Allegro train, running St. Petersburg-Helsinki. From July, 1, the ticket price will increase from EU84 to 92,2 in the second class and from EU134 to 144,4 in the first class.
According to Finnish Railways, new prices will be constant, while Russian Railways insert them for holiday season, from July, 1 till August, 31. In addition amount od trains will be increased from 2 to 4 since May, 29, although now Allegros run half-filled.
This summer Allegro trains will leave from Helsinki at 6.00, 10.00, 15.00 and 19.00 with arrival to St. Petersburg at 10.36, 14.36, 19.36 and 23.36. Departures from St. Petersburg will take place at 6.40, 11.25, 15.25 and 20.25 with arrival to Helsinki 9.16, 14.01, 18.01 and 23.01.
Allegro trains were launched on December, 12, 2010. Onboard the inaugural service were Finnish president Tarja Halonen and Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin.
