19 April will see the opening of a retrospective exhibition of the animation artist Leonid Shvartsman – creator of the visual image of Cheburashka - in the Exhibition Hall Na Solyanke, Moscow.
      
      It is the first full-scale retrospective exhibition of the legendary classic of Russian animation, and it is timed to his 90th anniversary.
      
      The exposition for the first time brings together the author's sketches, drawings, storyboards and other preparatory materials for most of the animations and filmstrips that make an extensive semicentenial filmography of the artist. In the framework of the exhibition demonstrations of animated cartoon films and master classes of well-known animators are planned.
      
      The exhibition runs till May, 29th.
