King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz’ Library recently opened on the basis of the Russian Islamic University in Kazan contains about 40 thousand books.
      
      The Culture and Information Ministry of Saudi Arabia has been engaged in worldwide distribution of similar libraries for many years, but appearance of the library in Kazan is an event out of the ordinary for Russia. The Russian Islamic University has become the first university in this country presented with such a generous gift.
      
      The presented books are of great interest not only for students of the republic, but also for all experts studying the Arabic language and Islamic culture.
