Quite an unusual exhibition of Russian lubok has been opened in the Maly Exhibition Hall of Izmailovsky Island, Moscow.
Visitors can feast their eyes on a cheerful and colourful array of luboks on historical, fairy tale and just comic themes. The author is the Moscow artist Sergey Trubnikov. It is his first exhibition in Izmailovsky Island.
Today Sergey Trubnikov's luboks decorate most diverse collections – from the Russian State History Museum to the USA Congress Library.
These creations “will amuse all of you”, the artist believes. With these words Sergey Trubnikov concluded the official opening of the exhibition that will last till May, 31st.
