Cult Rock Studio Might Lose its Premise

Petersburg sound-recording studio AnTrop, in which the legends of Russian rock music Kino, Aquarium, Zoopark, Alisa and Nol’ created their albums, might be closed due to disputes about the building where it rents a premise.
      
      AnTrop studio is located in the territory of the former Leningrad factory of phonograph records. The heads of the studio state that the new owner of the building is going to sell it and get rid of the studio. In particular, the owner of the premise accuses the studio of non-payment of 10-year-old electricity debt, which has reached 3 million roubles.
      
      The studio’s founder Andrey Tropillo addressed St. Petersburg authorities in the Dynasty program as far back as January 28: he suggested presenting the studio to the city, so that it would be recognized the cultural heritage of St. Petersburg. It would allow stopping the process of selling the building.
