A Unique Material for Nuclear Reactors Created

Russian scientists have developed a unique material, which prolongs lifetime of nuclear reactors up to 100 years, Russian mass media report.
The new material is an alloy, which is now officially permitted for use at nuclear power plants. New power plants will all be constructed according drafts, specially changed for this alloy. First nuclear power plant, where new material is expected to be used, is being built in the Kaliningrad Region.
Prolongation of nuclear reactors lifetime is very important, because its liquidation and building a new reactor costs a lot.
