Large-scale Exhibition of Zinaida Serebriakova in Moscow

Dom Nashchokina Gallery in Moscow is holding an exhibition of works by Zinaida Serebriakova - one of the most vivid Russian artists of the first half of the 20th century.
Speaking about expositions in the Dom Nashchokina Gallery, the current one is already the third and the largest one.
Zinaida Serebryakova could have become the best artist of new-born neoclassic, but the revolution, Civil war and the following emigration turned the promising Russian artist into a Parisian time-worker, a cheap guest worker.
Portraits and still lives were the domineering genres for Serebriakovas works; that is how her life passed in the genre of small earnings. Her paintings from the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum included in the exhibition are already well-known, but in addition to that Dom Nashchokina has made an important thing by collecting all those small genre works, which were the fruits of the second, the largest and the worse part of the artists life.
The exhibition runs till January, 30th.
