Five-volume anthology “Ancient Rus’ as seen by foreign sources” has recently came off the press in Moscow and was titled “the event of the decade” in historical science.
      
      Russian scientists think that domestic science and education have received a huge collection of translations of various foreign texts on Ancient Rus’ and Slavonic history. The texts cover the period between ancient times and XIII century and have extended historical commentaries. Most of the texts have never been translated into Russian and now add a lot to known ancient Russian historical sources.
      
      Five volumes contain information on ancient states of Eastern Slavs, their social structure and relations with other peoples.
