Russian scientists have developed the first nanolaboratory in the world, which combined various research techniques for materials, and this developed was recently awarded the Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award.
The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award usually goes to companies for significant contribution in various industrial branches or for creating a competitive product, which has a leading position on the market.
NTEGRA Spectra, a prize-winning nanolab, combines several techniques, based on scanning probe microscopy – a basic technique for nanotechnologists for studying properties of various surfaces. The lab also has an optical microscope and s Raman scattering spectroscope for identifying chemical composition of a sample in nanometer scales.
This lab can be useful for studying nucleic acids and proteins, as well as individual cells and carbon nanomaterials.
