Landing on Mars Scheduled for February 2011

Three participants of the international Mars manned mission simulation “Mars-500” will perform a virtual landing on the Red planet in February 2011.
      
      According to European Space Agency, simulation of landing on Mars is scheduled for February 10, 2011 with expected return “to the Earth” in November 2011.
      
      Landing simulation is the fourth stage of the programme. Current third stage of the experiment is simulation of a 520-day-long flight. The “crew” consists of 6 members: three of them are Russians, and three more are form France, Italy and China.
