Gazprom intends to establish its control over the Sakhalin-2 by bying a part share in it from the Japanese partners Mitsui & Co and Mitsubishi.
      
      At this moment the share of Russian gas giant company in the Sakhalin Energy project reaches 50% and one share. Nevertheless the foreign partners could veto the key decisions. This situation doesn't suite the company management.
      
      One of the main reasons for this step are the difficulties between two sides on the matter of gas purchase price.
      
      At present Gazprom is negotiating with Japan on the assignment of their share in their favor.
