Russian engineers negotiate with European countries and China for making cyclotrons, aimed at producing isotopes. Researchers promise not to forget about Russia as well.
Engineers negotiate with China, Czech Republic and Slovakia, however, Russia also has a high demand for cyclotrons. Russian federal programme on nuclear medicine provides construction of 80 centres of positron emission tomography (PET), and each of them should be equipped with a cyclotron.
Cyclotrons produce radionuclides, used as components for making reagents for PET. Russian engineers have already successfully made 30 cyclotrons, installed in Russia and other countries of the world.
