Transneft has begun supplying process oil to China by pipeline East Siberia - Pacific Ocean, reports the source. Pumping volume of this pipeline will be 400 cubic meters per hour.
In the whole, 650 thousands tons of process oil will be supplied to China by Rosneft. According to company's representatives, the deal was made on arm's length terms.
Commercial oil supply to China begins on the January, 1, 2011. The pipe for that (Skovorodino (Russia) - Daqing (China)) is not yet completed.
Chinese market is considered as a main marketing outlets for oil from the East Siberia accumulations. It is supposed to supply 15 milions tons a year.
The pipeline East Siberia - Pacific Ocean was constructed in accordance with a contract between Rosneft, Transneft and Chinese company of CNPC, signed in 2009. Chinese company has given to the Russian ones a credit 25 billion dollars. The Russian side has committed itself to supply oil for 20 years, from 2011 to 2030, 15 milions tons a year.
The deal was made on arm's length terms, but it is a question, who won.
