Sapsans will run to Kazan
Sapsan train

High-speed railway service will connect Kazan with Nizhniy Novgorod. It will be continuation of exicting service Moscow - Nizhniy Novgorod. Question about construction of railway line will have been discussed by the end of this year.
      
      This line will connect the capital of Tatarstan not only with Nizhniy Novgorod but with Moscow and St. Petersburg as well. Sapsan trip between Moscow and Nizhniy Novgorod takes 3 hours 15 minutes, journey between Moscow and St. Petersburg takes 3 hours 45 minutes. Journey St. Petersburg - Nizhniy Novgorod takes 8 hours 05 minutes.
      
      Sapsans run to and from Nizhniy Novgorod two times a day, one follows to Moscow, another goes further to St. Petersburg.
      
      It is supposed to create a network of high-speed train services. Sapsans are supposed to appear on the railroads of different Russian regions like Urals and Siberia, and even on international ones, e.g. St. Petersburg - Helsinki.
