Russian Cinema to be Castrated of Obscenities

Cinema without censorship remains in the past - henceforth all obscene words will be eradicated from Russian films.

That was the initiative of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation.
The Department has obliged Ministry of Culture to change considerably the order of issuing certificates to films with substandard lexicon, i.e. to cancel such issuing.

The Office of Public Prosecutor inspected the issue of certificates on request of the Nardony Sobor (People’s Assembly) movement.

Earlier it was the initiative of this movement that instigated proceedings against organizers of the exhibition Forbidden Art – 2006.
