Balkans revisited
20.07.2005 00:00

Turkey may be still not the best choice for Russians, a statement to be defended by tourist operators on the Balkans. Better price vs quality ratio wins more holidaymakers from Russia who enjoy an easy visa, little language barriers and the sometimes the very Black Sea they have always adored.

Bulgaria hosts most of the those in need of the sun, vitamins and breathing space. By July 15, the number of tourists coming here equaled to the last year’s total, which promises a general rise of interest by 34%-45%.

VIM AVIA operates comfortable Boeing planes and has a company receiving passengers in Bulgaria and providing all other services required.

Hot on Bulgaria’s heels comes Greece and Croatia, popular among those who love to travel on bikes. Less popular are Cyprus, Montenegro, Romania and Slovenia.

On the whole, the Balkans seek to won the lead over Turkey, with Egypt further down the list.
