Russia and South Africa to build strategic partnership

Russia and the South African Republic are to build strategic partnership in major spheres. Today the two countries have signed a contract for the supply of the enriched uranium.
      
      The South African president Jacob Zuma is on his first official visit to Russia these days. Russia and South Africa don’t have a burden of past so they can develop their relations in a new way but paying respect to the existing links.
      
      Today the parties have signed a contract for the supply of the enriched uranium. The agreement was signed between JSC Tekhsnabexport, 100% subsidiary of JSC Atomic Energy Power Corporation, and Eskom Holdings lmt.
      
      More than that, the Governments of Russia and South Africa have signed agreements on non-visa visiting for diplomatic and official passports holders. The parties have put their signatures under the agreement on cooperation in plant quarantine. Russia and South Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Space Agency and the South African National Space Agency on cooperation in the field of remote sensing of the Earth.
