A group of regional ethnographers has discovered an ancient ritual ground of the Mansi tribe in the course of an expedition along the Sosva River near Severouralsk town.
“We have just performed prospecting works, and now archeologists should be involved here, - the director of the group called “Team of Adventurers” Alexey Slepukhin reported to JustMedia.Ru. - But I can already say that this is unique place that will be much spoken about. This ground is a multiple-age monument. Here we have found whole arrowheads made not only of iron, but also of stone. The rock itself provokes interest - the Mansi purposefully chose cult places”.
Meanwhile Alexey Slepukhin is unwilling to speak a lot about peculiarities of the find, being careful not to bring about "black" archeologists. But the find can be already called unique, since ritual places of the Mansi are quite rare in the area of River Sosva: the majority of caves and grottos here are flooded.
