Charity Fund for best athletes set up

Best athletes could live a decent life from on and train without thinking of the balance sheet, sponsored and cherished by a special charity fund, reports Rodnaya Gazeta .
      
      
       An unusual but pleasant initiative proposed by the RF president has been taken up by the almighty oligarchs. Mr Tyagachyov, head of the RF Olympic Committee, briefed the media that a group of Russian moguls bore their heads and pockets together to the joy of Russian champions of Olympic Games, World and European Cups.
      
      
       The patrons include 11 individuals, although Mr Tyagachyov named only 7, actually: Vladimir Potanin, Oleg Deripaska, Vladimir Evtushenkov, Roman Abramovich, Petr Aven, Mikhail Friedman, and Vladimir Lisin. Other stinking rich people, like Aleksei Mordashov, are kindly invited to join the group and share the expenses.
      
      
       The list of the eligible features 600 sportsmen and their coaches, with $5,000 appropriated for Olympics winners, $3,000 for World Cup winners and $2,000 for those who have European trophies.
      
      
       The fund with an annual budget of $20-25m will be managed by Vladimir Potanin, chief of Interros, while money allocation will be monitored by a group of experts headed by the famous hockey player Boris Mikhailov.
      
      
       The fund does not have a name yet, but the funds for May are available.
