Electric Car on Solar Batteries Created

Scientific enthusiasts from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University have developed an electric automobile fueled by sunlight.
      
      The car, designed at the department of renewable energy sources and hydraulic power engineering, is equipped with solar batteries on its roof and hood, and an engine with a battery. Silicon photoelectric converters cover 1.5 square meters of the car.
      
      Fuel distance of two-seated car is 60 km with speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Refueling, which is actually recharging, can take place during driving or at a special station.
