Joseph Brodsky  Museum to Apear in Petersburg

The authorities of Petersburg intend to create a museum of the well-known poet Joseph Brodsky, who would have turned 70 years old on May, 24th this year.
      
      The museum will be located in the apartment in the house (Dom Muruzi) at 24, Liteiny, where the the poet used to live. The building is a monument of architecture of the 19th century, constructed in Mauritian style, and now remains a dwelling house.
      
      Joseph Brodsky was born on May, 24th, 1940 in Leningrad. Having left the USSR in the early seventies, he lived in the USA and worked as a poet, translator, essayist and playwright. In 1987 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Liiterature.
