Russians Prefer Television to Any Other Source of Information

Russian sociologists say that, according to polls, the majority of citizens of our vast country get latest news via television.
      
      Other mass media have following ranks: 20% read news in various press, 15% surf the web for staying informed, and 12% listen to radio programmes. 6% get latest information from taking to their fir4ends and family.
      
      Television is most popular among dwellers of small cities and villages (93-94%) and elderly people (96%); newspapers and magazines are favoured by middle-aged people and, as for the web – it is popular among metropolitan dwellers, young and well-educated Russians. Radio is preferred by big city dwellers (16%) and elderly citizens (17%).
