The State Duma adopted amendments to the law regulating spirit and liquor production demanding automatic control systems at the production facilities. Ethyl spirit could only be brought out by state-run enterprises and other organizations with the authorized capital of now less than 10m roubles.
      
      
       The law gives the definition of a denaturant and lists detailed requirements for the producers and sellers of alcohol.
      
      
       334 deputies voted for the amendments, 54 against, with no abstentions. The new edition takes effect from January 1, 2006.
