From March 25 to October 6, 2013 “Rossia” TV channel and the Russian Geographic Society with the support of a few TV channels and radio stations, web-portals and newspapers organized the Rossia 10 multimedia contest. The project was conceived as a nationwide contest, during the course of which citizens would be able to select 10 of the most interesting landmarks nationwide.

A new monument emerged in Murmansk. The sculpture portrays a cat with a knapsack, sitting on a bronze bench. The cat along with the bench weighs 120 kg. The monument was unveiled at the entrance to the amusement park on Lake Semyonovskoye.

It is planned to create an outdoor lilac museum. Lilac Garden, located on Schelkovskoye Highway, was founded in 1954 on the initiative of well-known breeder Leonid Kolesnikov and in 1975 it was transformed into a recreational area.

Divers picked up from Lake Chebarkul two more supposed fragments of Chelyabinsk meteorite. It was reported earlier that scientists from Chelyabinsk State University (CSU) have received for studying eight stone pieces picked up from Chebarkul during searches of the largest fragment of "Chelyabinsk” meteorite.
